Volunteer: Health Center

Description

Mazzoni Center, Philadelphia’s LGBT Health Center has project based volunteer opportunities for an extended period of time centering on lesbian health, transgender health and sexual health issues. Projects could include research, resource gathering, health promotion and project development. Volunteers would be working at Mazzoni Center and would work closely with members of the Community Health Center.

Interested individuals should enjoy working with a diverse community. This is an ideal opportunity for someone interested in LGBT health issues.

Skills

• Comfort working with people from diverse ethnic, cultural, socioeconomic, and sexual orientations/gender identities and presentations.
• Able to handle multiple tasks, have good collaborative and interpersonal skills, have problem solving and organizational skills.
• Background and/or knowledge in LGBT, Transgender, Sexual and Public Health issues.
