Volunteer: Prevention Services
Description
Mazzoni Center, Pennsylvania’s oldest AIDS service organization, needs volunteers in the Prevention Services Department to assemble health education and safer sex packets for community outreach and special events. They will also represent Mazzoni Center at health fairs, special events, community forums, etc., providing LGBT community resources and HIV/AIDS information. Prevention Services Volunteer opportunities are on monthly, quarterly, and special event-based basis.
Students (high school and university) are encouraged to apply for this position.
Skills
- Comfort working with people from diverse ethnic, cultural, socioeconomic, and sexual orientations/gender identities and presentations.
- Able to handle multiple tasks, have good collaborative and interpersonal skills, have problem solving and organizational skills.
