Life skills counseling for HIV-positive individuals

Being HIV positive is not simply a medical diagnosis.  It can also have a profound impact on your state of mind, your relationships, your decision making, and more.

Our Life Skills Counseling program provides HIV-positive men who have sex with men, as well as positive trans individuals, with tools so that they can identify and achieve personal life goals.  The program, also known as CLEAR (Choosing Life Empowerment Action Results), helps HIV-positive individuals take the first steps toward becoming their best selves.

Among the goals you might address with your counselor are:

•    Remove stress
•    Increase support
•    Improve communication
•    Strengthen relationships
•    Gain tools to make healthier decisions
•    Explore your sexuality and make healthier choices
•    Identify other short and long term goals
