Prevention/Education

Mazzoni Center's Prevention/Education Department offers community education, outreach, and counseling services to youth and adults throughout Philadelphia. Our ALLY Safe Schools program trains school staff to make their schools a safer, more welcoming environment for LGBT and questioning students. We provide comprehensive sexuality programs throughout the community and within the Philadelphia Public School System. We train medical and social service agency staff on working with LGBT patients and clients. We offer risk reduction counseling to clients in a supportive, non-judgmental environment to assist individuals with identifying HIV and sexually transmitted infection risks.
