L. Elaine Dutton, LCSW is the Trans Care Services Manager at Mazzoni Center and the designated social worker on the P.A.C.T.S. ‘Pediatric & Adolescent Comprehensive Transgender Services’ program care team. They work with transgender identified individuals as they consider and engage in personal, social, and medical transition by offering advocacy, counseling, education, care coordination and ongoing support.
Elaine moved to Philadelphia and began working at Mazzoni in September 2011 after receiving an MSW from Smith College School for Social Work in Northampton, Massachusetts. Elaine has experience working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. Their practice is integrative and client-centered, gender expansive and queer competent, feminist leaning, relational, and social justice and family systems oriented. Prior to graduate school, they worked in the field of sexual violence prevention as a crisis intervention counselor, educator, and community organizer.
