We are pleased to share the official dates of next year’s Philadelphia Trans Health Conference , which will take place Thursday, September 7 through Saturday, September 9, 2017 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center. We give a great deal of thought to the timing and planning of the conference each year – and sometimes our plans are impacted by logistics outside our control, such as the availability of the Pennsylvania Convention Center and of sufficient hotel rooms in the area to accommodate our out-of-town attendees. In this case it was... More

Mazzoni Center has joined with several other healthcare providers and LGBT organizations around the U.S. in calling on manufacturers of injectable estrogen to address the serious shortage that has been affecting trans women for the past several months. This afternoon we are expecting the Westboro Baptist Church (WBC) to protest outside Mazzoni Center’s medical practice with hateful messages targeting transgender people. The WBC is notorious for their extreme, vitriolic messages and speech - their past targets have included the LGBT community, Catholics, Muslims, and Jews, as well as U.S. soldiers and their families. They have specifically chosen to protest Mazzoni Center because of the care and services we provide to the trans and gender nonconforming communities. In fact we could not be more proud of our work and its impact -- just... More
