This year marks the 30th anniversary of AIDS Walk Philly, which will take place on Sunday, October 16 at the Eakins Oval. Over the years this event, organized by the AIDS Fund of Philadelphia, has raised over $16 million dollars to provide vital services and support for people in our area who are living with HIV/AIDS.
In past years, individual walkers/runners and teams participating in AIDS Walk Philly could designate the funds they raised directly to Mazzoni Center, or to any of the other partner organizations that provide direct services to people with HIV/AIDS in the Philadelphia region.
This summer AIDS Fund announced some key changes to their operations, and confirmed that they will no longer be distributing funds raised through their events to service organizations such as Mazzoni, but instead will use the money to provide emergency financial assistance to individuals living with HIV.
Mazzoni Center is deeply grateful to AIDS Fund for their many years of partnership and support – and to all the individuals who have walked or run alongside us to help improve the lives of thousands of people in our region living with HIV.
As AIDS Walk Philly reaches this major milestone, we encourage you to continue supporting this important event. Registration info. is available on their website – or by clicking the button below.
Hope to see you there!
