Annual Mettathon Fundraiser Sets a Goal of $10,000


Each year for six years Jack Cooper, Mazzoni Center's Food Bank Coordinator, has sat on his meditation cushion for five hours, and practiced Metta, also known as LovingKindness, without getting up, in in an effort to raise awareness and funds for a cause he cares about. He calls this the Mettathon!

This year the funds he raises will go to support Mazzoni Center’s Pediatric & Adolescent Comprehensive Transgender Services (PACTS) program. Our PACTS program uses a collaborative approach, drawing on the input of expertise of multiple departments within Mazzoni Center—medical providers, social workers, counselors and legal staff—to form a comprehensive and personalized treatment plan for each patient and family.
