GLMA Gives Award to Mazzoni Center Nurses

The Gay and Lesbian Medical Association (GLMA) 35th Annual Conference on LGBT Health is hosted in Philadelphia this year. This Annual Conference educates practitioners, policy advocates, educators, administrators, researchers and students from across the health professions about the unique health needs of LGBT individuals and families. The conference is a forum for discussion and exploration of how best to address these needs as well as the needs of LGBT health professionals and health profession students. GLMA’s Annual Conference also reports on research into the health needs of LGBT people.

At the conference this year, GLMA has decided to honor our own Mazzoni Nursing staff with the 2017 Nursing Award of Excellence. We like thank GLMA for recognizing the nurses at the Mazzoni Center for the amazing work they do for advancing LGBT health equality.

Congratulations goes to Dane Menkin, Becky Altman, Caroline Cylkowski, Max Parrish, Waliyyah Muhsin, Ryan Liberty, and Ahmaad Johnson.
