Creative Art Therapy
Have you ever wanted to try Art Therapy to see what it’s all about? What about drama therapy? Art Therapist John Lutz and co-facilitator Clint Steib host this group on Wednesday evenings from 6:00-8:00 PM. The Psychodrama Art Therapy Group meets in 8 week cycles.
Do you struggle to understand your emotions, or do your emotions feel overwhelming?
Learning how to handle these overwhelming feelings not only helps to build healthy relationships, but can also give you a better understanding of yourself and your own emotional needs.
Managing Strong Emotions is an 8-week creative arts and psychodrama group for LGBTQ individuals. Each week, participants will have the opportunity to use art and drama to explore their relationship to their emotions.
Group meetings will focus on:
• Understanding and expressing your emotional experience creatively through expressive art therapy
• Incorporating mindfulness, relaxation, and body awareness into everyday life through drama exercises
• Enhancing one’s capacity to understand thoughts, sensations, and emotions
Artistic or performance ability is not required, just a willingness to explore issues important to your individual identity.
