About State Sen. Larry Farnese
State Senator Larry Farnese (D-Philadelphia) has long been an advocate for initiatives that protect Pennsylvanians from discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity and expression. During his years in office, Farnese has been the prime sponsor of legislation that would afford equal protections under the law to all Pennsylvanians. His legislation, Senate Bill 974, seeks to amend the Pa Human Relations Act to add “sexual orientation” and “gender identity or expression” to the list of prohibited factors.

State Representative Brian K. Sims (D-Philadelphia) is a distinguished policy attorney and civil rights advocate from Center City Philadelphia. Among his key priorities are making Philadelphia safer, strengthening and protecting public education, preserving services for seniors and other vulnerable Pennsylvanians, making affordable health care more available, and expanding civil rights for all Pennsylvanians.
