Amy Tarr, LCSW
Amy (she/her) endeavors to offer compassion, respect, and transparency throughout the Open Door intake process. Amy is committed to collaborating with those seeking services in order to create a plan that will best support each individual. As a therapist, Amy uses a humanistic approach and frequently utilizes CBT and mindfulness in work with clients. Amy has completed training in EMDR from the Parnell Institute and is also a yoga teacher (RYT-200) and facilitates yoga groups for Open Door clients. Amy believes that each individual has a natural ability to heal and that therapy and yoga can be useful tools in this journey. Amy has received a Master of Social Work from the Jane Addams College of Social Work and BS in Social Work from The Ohio State University.
