Carole Showell MSW, LSW

Carole received her Bachelors in Psychology from Temple University and her Masters in Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania. Prior to becoming a therapist, Carole worked in both adult and youth education, as well as non-profit social services. During those experiences, she observed the need for more affirmative mental health care and greater access to these services for the LGBTQ+ community.  Carole soon found her passion as a trauma therapist working with clients from a diverse range of ages and backgrounds and uses an array of treatment approaches in collaboration with her clients to create a highly individualized therapeutic experience. Carole draws from Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Prolonged Exposure Therapy (PE), and also frequently uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Experiential Therapy approaches.

Carole uses she/her/hers pronouns.
