As the Corporate and Foundation Relations Officer, Chelsea Switzer works with an accomplished and enthusiastic team to achieve the development and fundraising goals of Mazzoni Center. Her background includes several years of experience as a sales and event manager at Chelsea Piers in Manhattan, a development officer, and a preschool teacher.
She received a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and French from Tufts University and a Masters in Medical Ethics and Health Policy from the University of Pennsylvania where her thesis focused on ethics policies within the global forum of the Olympic Games, and how those policies impact transgender and intersex athletes.
A native of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, Chelsea is a dedicated student of Ashtanga yoga, has a passion for anything relating to bread, cheese, or whiskey, and is a devotee of the Oxford comma. She lives in West Philadelphia with her cat Shadow (Puddy) where she can often be found hosting impromptu dinner parties, reciting quotes from 80’s and 90’s movies, and watching Hockey Night in Canada.
