Lydia Gonzalez Sciarrino

CEO

Lydia Gonzalez Sciarrino is an experienced healthcare executive with a demonstrated history of providing leadership and strategic direction. She is a goal-oriented, high energy professional and catalyst for change, combining tactical execution of strategic initiatives with strong leadership of cross-functional staff and development of community collaborations to enhance overall quality, productivity, business, and bottom-line financial performance. She is accomplished in team development and empowerment, instilling a sense of pride and autonomy in staff.

Throughout her career, Gonzalez Sciarrino has worked hard to bring services to traditionally underserved communities, advocated for equality, and been steadfast in her support of, and commitment to, the LGBTQ community.

Most recently, Gonzalez Sciarrino was Chief Executive Officer of Whole Family Health Center in Fort Pierce, Florida. In 2013 she stepped into the role and accepted the challenge to help what was, at the time, a small HIV/AIDS clinic develop into a profitable and well managed health care organization with the goal of becoming a Federally Qualified Health Center LA.

At the time the company lacked strong leadership, financials were tenuous and few policies and procedures were established to provide organizational discipline and structure.  The responsibility of stabilizing the organization and preparing it for a successful application led to a greater health center footprint with a corresponding increase in a culturally competent and ethnically diverse workforce representing the community it serves.  Strong financials, an engaged Board of Directors and full compliance with all mandated health center program requirements resulted in the award designation granted October 1, 2017.

Recognitions include the Social Security Administration Public Service Award awarded May 2006 and the Women Making History Award 2005.  Throughout her professional career, she has belonged to committees and boards of numerous health care and social service agencies.

Gonzalez Sciarrino holds a BS in Finance from Gannon University and a Master in Business Administration, Finance and Accounting, from Case Western Reserve University.
