Wren Lansky

Program Coordinator: Ally Safe Schools

Wren is excited and honored to join the Mazzoni Center Education Department. They are passionate about creating platforms for youth voice, and believe that offering youth trust, responsibility, and decision-making roles is critical to developing strong leaders.

Wren has been working to empower LGBTQIA+ youth and create safe school environments since high school in Vermont. They continued that work in Boston, leading workshops on college campuses about gender, intersectional identities, and creating intentional anti-oppressive spaces. Much of their work with youth has taken place outdoors; leading youth farm crews and trail-building crews as a platform for teaching team-building, healthy communication, and youth leadership. They received their B.A. from Tufts University in American Studies: Issues in US Education, which explored the history of schools as oppressive institutions and imagined potentials for liberatory education. They look forward to working with youth, teachers, GSAs, and community partners to create transformation with schools and connect all students to resources.
