Feburary 7, 2017 marks the 16 th annual National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day. NBHAAD was founded in 1999 in response to the growing epidemic of HIV and AIDS in Black communities. NBHAAD is a “testing and treatment community mobilization initiative” seeking to get people educated, involved, tested, and treated.
