The Philadelphia Trans Health Conference has been renamed Philadelphia Trans Wellness Conference (PTWC) for 2018, and will be held August 2-4, 2018.
The Philadelphia Trans Health Conference was created to educate and empower trans individuals on issues of health and well-being, educate and inform allies and health service providers, and to facilitate networking, community-building, and systemic change. Now in its 17th year, the conference has grown to become a significant event which attracts trans people, activists and allies, medical providers who cover a broad spectrum of ages, ethnicities, races, abilities, sexualities and genders from across the country and around the world. The three-day conference covers a broad range of topics, including sexuality, beyond the binary, people of color and intersectionality, as well as allyship for cis folks and much more!
That breadth of topics was a large part in our decision to rename the conference the Philadelphia Trans Wellness Conference for 2018. We feel the new name more accurately reflects the conference’s scope which extends beyond physical health.
