LAUGHTER IS A REVOLUTIONARY GESTURE: HUMOR AS SELF CARE FOR TRANS /GENDER NONCONFORMING/QUEER PEOPLE

One of the most effective tools we have against stress is humor but it’s been used against us in the form of teasing, mocking and being the butt of dominant/pop culture jokes. In this workshop we'll talk about what it looks like to reclaim humor as a tool, rediscover the funny in our daily lives and develop concrete skills for incorporating humor into our lives and work.

Intended audience(s)

Trans / GNC/ queer folks who are positively oriented to the idea of using humor as a coping tool.
