Phalloplasty and Metoidioplasty Show and Tell

This workshop is restricted to only the group or groups described below; attendees who do not self-identify as a member of these groups will be asked to leave by a member of Mazzoni Center staff at the beginning of the session.
This is an 18+, closed space for transmasculine spectrum people (trans guys, men of trans experience, AFAB nonbinary, stealth/low disclosing, etc) to witness the experience of transmasculine spectrum people who have had genital surgery. No one will be admitted after the listed start time of the workshop. Partners, medical providers, family members, and friends who are not transmasculine should not attend. No exceptions will be made. Please attend other workshops to familiarize yourself with the procedures of genital surgery before attending this workshop.

About the presenters

Gaines Blasdel

Gaines Blasdel is a medical case manager at Callen-Lorde Community Health Center, an LGBTQ-focused Federally Qualified Health Center in NYC. He works in the teen program there, with transgender and nonbinary (TGNB) adolescents. He also runs the website www.healthytrans.com, and his particular interest is in TGNB health literacy education and advocacy for increased coverage of TGNB surgical procedures.
