Transitioning in Black Families and Communities

Join us as we discuss experiences and obstacles we face while transitioning in Black families. Discussions will navigate issues involving honoring names, pronouns, and what family support looks like in our communities.

About the presenters

Darius McLean

Darius McLean is a Temple Graduate and former board member of Girls Justice League of Philadelphia. In the past Darius was a facilitator for a support group for trans and GNC youth between the ages of 4-12 years old at CHOPS Gender and Sexuality Clinic as well as the monthly creative writing group transcribez. Darius currently works as the Program Manager/Patient Navigator for Einstein’s PRIDE Program.
