Ben Judd is currently a 1st year graduate student at Drexel University’s physician assistant program, where he will graduate in 2017. A native of St. Louis, Missouri, Ben has also served as a firefighter/EMT in the Air Force for nearly five years, and was stationed in Texas, North Carolina, Kansas, and deployed overseas.

Eddie Malone got into drag performing almost by accident. Several years ago, the Tom’s River, NJ native was living in Charlotte, NC, where his roommate at the time was organizing a drag competition at a local bar. At the last minute, one of the performers dropped out - and Eddie’s roommate was in a real bind.
“He was freaking a bit, so I said, ‘I'll do it - it’s not like anyone will vote for me.’” No one was more surprised that Eddie himself when he came in first place.

It’s not yet officially springtime, but we are already deep into the planning for Mazzoni Center’s annual fundraiser and celebration, Elixir: the Cure for the Common Gala, which will take place on Friday, May 20 at Jefferson University’s Lupert Plaza. Last year this event was attended by nearly 400 people and raised more than $120,000 dollars to support Mazzoni’s continuum of health and wellness services for the LGBT and HIV/AIDS communities in the Philadelphia region.
Mazzoni Center's emergency food bank has been a critical support for low-income individuals and families impacted by HIV in Philadelphia since 1989. The food bank serves 1,300 local households each month, and the overwhelming majority of our food bank clients (97%) lack the financial resources to meet the basic needs of their households.

Our new site represents the culmination of many months of hard work, collaboration and conversation about the nature and goals of our organization, and how we wanted to communicate with the world about who we are and what we do.
Not only has technology and the way we live with it changed dramatically in the five-plus years since we last overhauled our website, but our organization has grown and evolved in significant ways.
