Week in Review: January 25, 2019

Friday, February 7 from 5pm-9pm, the Trip Project and OUR Way programs of the Mazzoni Center will be collaborating with Tabu Lounge and Sports Bar for "Living: The Get Real Edition" in recognition of National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day. The event will have door prizes, entertainment, giveaways, music, and food. 21+ | FREE.

Kevin Fret, Openly Gay Latin Trap Artist, Is Shot and Killed in Puerto Rico

We are deeply saddened at the loss of openly gay Latin trap artist, Kevin Fret. Another member of our community gone far too soon.  Our hearts are with his loved ones.

Recently, Mazzoni Center staff from all levels of the organization came together to form a softball team with the City of Brotherly Love Softball League— one of Philadelphia’s largest LGBTQ sports leagues. The team, managed by Technology and Data Coordinator Jay Alston, named themselves the Bad News Queers. Artist and Mazzoni Center Events and Volunteer Manager, Michael Kelly designed the team’s logo, which was printed on bold purple baseball shirts.
