Inviting you to Unfolding: A Celebration of Queer Expression in Music

October is a time for visibility, courage, and connection, and this year, Mazzoni Center and Philadelphia Chamber Music Society (PCMS) are coming together in partnership to invite you to a very special event in honor of National Coming Out Day.
We’re thrilled to host violinist Alexi Kenney and pianist Amy Yang in a free community concert, Unfolding: A Celebration of Queer Expression in Music, which highlights works by LGBTQ composers, past and present. Join us for an afternoon of beauty, reflection, and the powerful history of queer musical voices.
When: Saturday, October 11, 2025 · 2:00 PM
Where: William Way LGBT Community Center, 1315 Spruce St, Philadelphia, PA
Cost: Free (reservation required). Please click here to reserve your seat.
There will be a post-concert talk with Alexi Kenney and Dr. Christiian Storm Credle, Mazzoni Center’s Director of Behavioral Health Services, followed by a reception, an opportunity to share, connect, and celebrate together.
At Mazzoni Center, we believe in the power of stories, conveyed through conversation, support, and, yes, art. Music has a way of expressing what words sometimes can’t. With great thanks to our partners at PCMS, this event is a gift to the community, a moment of sharing, joy, and reflection.
We hope you’ll join us for the music, for the moment, for each other. Feel free to invite friends, family, and anyone who might be uplifted by this celebration.
