Today is World AIDS Day

World AIDS Day Banner

Today, on World AIDS Day, we pause to reflect, remember, and renew our commitment.

Mazzoni Center’s history is inextricably linked to the HIV/AIDS epidemic. We were founded in response to the crisis, born from the resilience of a community that refused to be ignored. Today, we honor the memory of the countless friends, family, and community members we have lost, including our own namesake, Dr. Peter Mazzoni.

We carry their legacy in everything we do. But today is also about hope and action. We celebrate the incredible strength of long-term survivors and the medical advancements that have transformed HIV into a manageable chronic condition. We champion the powerful truth of U=U (Undetectable = Untransmittable) and the effectiveness of prevention tools like PrEP, including Yeztogo, the latest long-lasting injectable PrEP that is administered every six months.

Let’s continue to fight stigma with science, compassion, and solidarity. Whether you need testing, treatment, or support, Mazzoni Center is here for you. Together, we can, and we will, end the HIV epidemic.
