On Thursday, June 25, Mazzoni Center hosted our first Vital Signs – the Pulse of Mazzoni Center event at our Bainbridge location. This was an opportunity to culminate Pride Month and share our strategic direction and plans for the coming program year, continuing our focus on strengthening LGBTQ+ health and wellness across Philadelphia and beyond. Mazzoni Center's Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Stacey Trooskin, and Director of Behavioral Health, Dr. Christian Storm Credle led panel discussions on our key growth/strategic pillars of:

  1.    Long-Acting Injectable PrEP (2-6 months between treatments)
  2.    Establishing a Clinical Research Unit at Mazzoni Center
  3.    Broadening Access to Low-Threshold Integrated Care for Patients and Clients
  4.    Prioritizing Full Patient Care (ie., behavioral health integrated into primary care),

Our guest list included several state and local legislators/administrators, pharmaceutical and medical research companies, our board of directors, and many key community stakeholders. In addition to a vibrant discussion, we were also serenaded by the illustrious Philadelphia Gay Chorus to cap off the celebration. For more information on the discussion or how you can get involved, please contact our Development Director, Jason Clark (jclark@mazzonicenter.org).
