Accomplished Broadway/TV Director to Appear at Mazzoni Center Salon

In March, Mazzoni Center introduced its Salon Series, monthly small living room gatherings featuring notable special guests. Following a capacity crowd for the inaugural Salon featuring Idit Klein, CEO of Keshet, the next Salon, slated for the evening of Tuesday, April 25, features a notable Broadway and television director.

Tony and Emmy-nominated Broadway and television director, Scott Ellis, has an incredible list of directing credits, including Broadway’s Take Me Out, Tootsie, She Loves Me, You Can’t Take It With You, The Mystery of Edwin Drood, Curtains, 1776, and Steel Pier; and television shows Weeds (Executive Producer), Modern Family, Nurse Jackie, The Good Wife, Hung, 30 Rock, Desperate Housewives, The Closer, and Frasier. Scott’s acting history includes appearing with Liza Minelli and Chita Rivera in Broadway’s original production of The Rink.

Attendees will have the opportunity to join us for a fun and informal conversation, including Scott’s stories and reflections on his life in theatre and television, the work of Mazzoni Center, and how we can all work together to ensure the well-being of our LGBTQ community.

Space is limited for this Salon, which will be held in a living room in Center City. Those wishing to attend should email [email protected]
