Hepatitis C Care

Hepatitis C Care

Hepatitis C treatment was once reserved only for specialty care facilities and relied on intolerable treatments. Recently, there have been exciting breakthroughs, with highly effective all-oral medications with far fewer side effects. Hepatitis C can take as little as 8 weeks to cure and treatment can be delivered through your primary care office.

Treatment Options

The variety of new treatment options means we can offer personalized care. You can meet with one of our providers to choose the treatment option that is best for you. Cure rates now top 95% for many patients, and treatment length has been greatly reduced.

This means no interferon and no regular injections. Even if you have been through unsuccessful treatment before, you are still eligible for treatment now.

Our Hep C team will walk you through the entire treatment process, including pre-treatment, counseling and screening, applying for insurance, getting medications (even if you don’t have insurance), lab work and risk reduction counseling.

Our on-site case managers, works to ensure patients are supported both before starting medications and throughout the treatment process. A case manager can assist patients with obtaining insurance and/or securing medications, and also offers adherence and reinfection counseling. They are also able to refer clients to auxiliary services such as housing, food access, drug and alcohol services, mental health services and transportation.

A Registered Nurse (RN) assists with helping patients manage any side effects, adherence & reinfection counseling and medication reconciliation.
