For the second consecutive year, Sultan Shakir, President & Executive Officer of Mazzoni Center, has been named to City and State magazine’s 2023 Healthcare Power 100, a listing of the most influential leaders in healthcare throughout Pennsylvania.

According to the statewide news organization, “City & State’s 2023 Health Care Power 100 is a reflection of the importance of the people who are framing, influencing, and trying to change the conversation around one of Pennsylvania’s most crucial economic sectors, including public officials, hospital and health care executives, nonprofit leaders, union heads, academics, and others.”

Among Sultan’s achievements that City and State reference in his inclusion is bringing “a session of mission to the Philadelphia region’s largest LGBTQ health and wellness agency” and expanding the Center’s reach, including increased sexual education programming in Philadelphia schools.
