Panelists Sought for April's SAAM Event
On Thursday, April 25th from 6:00-7:30 pm, Mazzoni Center will be hosting the third annual Sexual Assault Awareness and Advocacy Month (SAAAM) Virtual Panel, an event that aims to shed light on the journeys of transgender survivors and foster a sense of community support. This year’s theme is "Solidarity and Strength: Trans Survivors of Sexual Assault".
We are seeking four passionate transgender survivors of sexual violence to share their stories of survivorship, addressing the unique challenges faced by trans survivors of sexual assault. Any person under the transgender umbrella who identifies as a survivor of sexual violence would be a good fit - this could include transgender, nonbinary, agender, bigender, and/or gender nonconforming folks. Panelists should also reside in Philadelphia County and those selected will be paid for their time.
We believe that the power of this discussion lies not only in the stories shared but also in the diversity of voices represented. To achieve this, we are reaching out to our community and asking for your support in spreading the word within your networks. Your influence and connections can play a crucial role in ensuring a wide reach for this important conversation.
If you or someone you know would be interested in joining the panel, please share this opportunity widely. Together, we can create a platform for solidarity, support, and empowerment. We look forward to your support in making the "Solidarity and Strength" Virtual Panel a meaningful and inclusive event!
