Thank You: Mazzoni Center Honors George Takei
Thank You: Mazzoni Center Honors George Takei
What an extraordinary night we all shared together at Mazzoni Center Honors last night, honoring the beloved George Takei and celebrating the vital, life-saving work of Mazzoni Center. From the surprise performance by Dr. Billie Swiggard to George Takei’s meaningful acceptance speech to our spirited “Come Sail Away” finale, it was an unforgettable night. We’re so delighted that you could be a part of it.
As we bask in the glow of such a powerful evening, we kindly suggest a few ways that you can help this morning.
OUR HEALTH EQUITY FUND CHALLENGE: If you didn’t have an opportunity last night, please consider contributing towards this year’s Health Equity Fund Challenge. As was noted at the event, Mazzoni Center gives away over $1 million in care each year to those who do not have the financial resources to pay. We set a goal last evening of raising $50,000 for our Health Equity Fund, with a $10,000 head start from a generous, anonymous donor. You can contribute towards our Mazzoni Center Honors Health Equity Fund Challenge by clicking here.
SHARE YOUR FEEDBACK: We would love to hear your reflections on this year’s Mazzoni Center Honors event. If you have just a few minutes, please let us know what you enjoyed – and how we might do better – by completing this simple, online survey.
HAVE ANY PHOTOS: If you have any photos from your Mazzoni Center Honors experience, we would love to see them. Please feel free to share by emailing [email protected].
Once again, thank you for being part of an amazing night together and for your support of the vital work of Mazzoni Center. And, as our honoree George Takei said last night, “Live long and prosper.”
