COVID-19 Guidelines | PTWC

While the United States formally declared the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency over in May of 2023, we know that this virus continues to affect huge portions of the population. At Mazzoni Center and the Philadelphia Trans Wellness Conference, we recognize the disproportionate impact that this pandemic has had – and continues to have – on LGBTQ+ communities, HIV+ communities, and others who experience marginalization and/or limited access to affirming, safe, and affordable healthcare.

We highly encourage attendees at the 2024 in-person conference to minimize the risk of COVID-19 transmission by:

  • Staying up to date with your COVID-19 vaccinations
  • Staying home if you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, flu, or any other respiratory infection
  • Wearing a mask and/or social distancing to your comfort
  • Washing your hands or using hand sanitizer often or as needed
  • Covering your face when you cough or sneeze
  • Face masks will be available to conference participants for free.

Our success this year in having a conference that advances best practices in providing for a safe and healthy environment will serve as a key benchmark for our ability to return to larger, in-person conferences in the future.
