Navigation Services

Do you need help

…learning about or getting on PrEP?
…getting medical insurance?
…applying for food stamps?
…enrolling in a GED program?
…connecting to services like therapy and job training?

Mazzoni Center Navigators can help!  Our team can link you to resources and services around Philadelphia to help keep you healthy and happy.

How it works

Mazzoni Center’s Navigation Program provides support to MSM (men who have sex with men) and individuals of trans experience at high risk of contracting HIV, including but not limited to initiating PrEP or nPEP; obtaining medical coverage; linkage to medical care; referral to services such as mental health, substance use, educational, vocational and housing, among others.

You’ll work one-on-one with a navigation specialist to develop a personalized action plan, and follow up by phone and/or in person to assess your progress.

Navigation Services are time limited, with a maximum length of six months. Services are provided using a client-centered approach grounded in motivational interviewing and integrated next step counseling.

*Note: this program was developed to work with MSM and trans persons of color, 16 years or older, who have a recent negative HIV test result.  If you do not meet these criteria but would like to learn more about accessing PrEP or other navigation services, please feel free to contact us, as we can refer you to appropriate resources.
